A two-story brick building sits on a dirt road in this black and white photograph. A sign at the top of the building reads "C.P. Jordan." A low porch with an awning over it stretches along the front of the building; there are several children sitting on the porch. The photograph was taken at the Rosebud Reservation.
At the time the photograph was taken, besides Jordan and Anderson, H.L. Hornby and T.C. Hornby owned interest in the firm, known then as the Jordan Mercantile Company. The Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation is located nine miles north of Valentine, Nebraska, in South Dakota.
