This postcard depicts the Pathfinder Hotel on the southeast corner of the intersection of Sixth and Broad Streets. The white lettering "Pathfinder Hotel, Fremont, Nebr." was added by the original photographer. The six-story hotel is constructed of dark brick with light colored accents seen on the window sills and on the band of brackets and dentils at the top story. The exterior walls are punctuated by rows of many windows. "Hotel Pathfinder" signs are located on the north and west sides of the building and on the northwest corner another sign advertises "Drugs, cigars, soda". Across the street, electric signs with glass bulls-eyes spell out "Hanlon" on Hanlon's Grocery and "Drugs" on a store front across Broad Street. The recently completed hotel contrasts with the one and two story false fronted shops seen farther south on Broad Street. Also visible is the large brick building constructed as the Fremont Hospital.
