A 2"x3" acetate negative, 1977 or 1978 copy of a photograph of Bruner's building in downtown Brainard, Nebraska, taken prior to 1911. The two-story, brick building features a corner entrance with double doors, corner pediment with "Bruner Building, 1894", canvas awnings and boardwalks extending at each corner over unpaved streets. Ten men, all wearing hats and a variety of clothing, are standing in front of the building, one of them with a bicycle.

Historical Notes
The Bruner Building was built in 1894. It originally housed a tavern, barber shop and pool hall with offices on the second floor. It later served as an I.G.A Grocery store. Fire destroyed it in 2004.
